What is Mīti?

Mīti is Māori for meat. We embrace our cultural heritage with indigenous ingredients that make it unique and made of Aotearoa.
Nutrient dense, New Zealand grass-fed beef and honey is our foundation with nine all natural ingredients. Shelf stable for 12 months – ready when you are.
Mīti contains over 10 grams of high-quality protein, and 780KJ of energy per serve, and is delivered in a delicious, ready-to-eat, two-serve, 84gm pack, making it an ideal on-the-go snack.

Nine All-Natural Ingredients

10-Month Dairy Beef
Nutrient-dense, lean, grass-fed beef, source of protein, iron, zinc, folate, copper, vitamins A, E, K, B1, B12, omega-3 fatty acids, beta-carotene and taurine

Honeydew Honey
Made from the sugary secretions of insects that feed on the sap of the Black Beech forests unique to Te Waipounamu. With 14 natural sugars and a lower glycemic index than other types of honey, it contains antioxidants, minerals, prebiotics and has antibacterial properties.

Kānuka Liquid Smoke
Kānuka, a native plant of New Zealand, adds a distinctive smoky flavor to Mīti, inspired by its cultural significance and traditional uses. Kanuka oil has been found to have anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

Marlborough Flaky Sea Salt
Salt harvested from evaporated seawater. It contains trace minerals, magnesium, potassium, and calcium.

Smoked Sweet Paprika
Spice made from dried and ground peppers. It is high in antioxidants, particularly carotenoids.

Garlic Powder
Spice made from dehydrated garlic cloves. It contains various nutrients, including vitamin C, manganese, selenium, and vitamin B6.

Onion Powder
Spice made from dehydrated onions. It contains nutrients such as vitamin C, manganese, potassium, and vitamin B6.

Black Pepper
Spice made from the dried, unripe fruit of the pepper plant. It contains piperine, an active compound that may have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

Dry Vinegar
Powdered form of vinegar created by dehydrating liquid vinegar, produced through the fermentation of ethanol by acetic acid bacteria. Vinegar contains acetic acid, which has been linked to various health benefits, including supporting digestive health, balancing blood sugar levels, and offering antibacterial properties.
Mataora Young beef up to 48% Lower Emissions
Young Beef are sourced as a by-product of the dairy industry and grown on grass to 10 months of age! With no wintering requirements young beef reduce nitrate to groundwater, reduce GHG emissions, improve environmental sustainability and help provide solutions to animal welfare issues.
Young Beef at scale significantly lowers Aotearoa’s GHG emissions profile, our animals produce nearly 50% less emissions, without requiring millions of dollars invested in science and technology and time for adoption. This systems change is available now and can set up a highly transparent and traceable grass fed manufacturing beef from pasture to plate to reduce industry scope 3 emissions, add value and create an asked for premium manufacturing product, a perfect base for further value-add.
